EGR Nordics Awards
The Nordic online gaming market includes some of the most innovative small companies and renowned giant entities of the entire global industry. So, while paying attention to the EGR Nordics awards is a must for local online gaming companies, it’s also worthwhile for anyone serious about gaming.
The EGR Nordics Awards is held in Malta, where most Nordic remote operators are based, at the Hilton Hotel in St. Julians. Show up for the 28. January ceremony in your best black-tie attire.
Who is EGR?
eGaming Review is an international online gaming publication, providing news and discussion within most relevant topics to the industry – though mainly focused on the B2B aspects.
It has several sister brands, for technology, compliance, marketing and North America, specifically. As it’s practically the only publication for B2B online gaming, getting an award from them is highly respected.
How to Apply for a Nomination
To be in the running against some of the best companies in the Nordics, all you have to do is officially nominate yourself through their website. It’s a simple form to fill out, but you do need to be in time for the actual award – meaning you’re out of luck if you wanted to be considered for the 2020 awards!
But there’s always next year, and the deadline is generally around October.
What to Expect at the EGR Awards
An award ceremony can be a great way to enjoy or envy your colleagues and maybe do a little networking, but the main focus is naturally on the ceremony itself. The awards themselves are handed out after drinks and dinner.
14 different awards are handed out in categories that seem specific enough to avoid the bigger brands dominating everything. Categories like “In-house Innovation” and “Socially Responsible Operator”, for example, give equal opportunities for both newcomers and established brands.
Among the most famous brands for the shortlist of 2020 you can find companies like Mr Green, GiG, Casumo, LeoVegas, Kindred Group and Betsson Group.
Sponsoring Opportunities
Sponsoring an award show is a great way to promote your brand while still supporting the achievements of your colleagues. Keep in mind, however, that ad space won’t be as prominent as at a conference, for example.
